Race Car of the Century

What makes one car stand out from all the rest from a century of motor racing? Ground-breaking innovation? Victories at the highest level? Dominating the opposition?

Each of the cars on our shortlist below displays those qualities, and we asked you, our readers, to help decide which one should be named the Race Car of the Century, as part of Motor Sport‘s centenary celebrations.

In 100 years of publication, we have featured every significant racing car of the period in our pages, from Bentley’s Le Mans-conquering Speed Six to today’s hybrid F1 cars, Formula E machines and even autonomous racers.

Voting has now closed and we will announce the winner later this summer. Sign up to our Archive newsletter and you’ll be among the first to be notified.
